If you're living like there is no God, you'd better be right There are NO dead unbelievers.

. . . . Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying,
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the gospel."
Mark 1:14-15

"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
Matthew 10:28

1. God made mankind - you are NOT a cosmic accident.
God intended man to walk in righteousness and fellowship.

---
So God created man in His own image;
in the image of God He created him;
male and female He created them.
Genesis 1:27
****

2. Man sinned - disobeyed God.
God did not (and does not) approve
of mankind's behavior.

---
Then to Adam He [God] said, "
Because you have heeded the voice of your wife,
and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying,
'You shall not eat of it':
"Cursed is the ground for your sake;
In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life.
Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,
And you shall eat the herb of the field.
In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken;
For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."
Genesis 3:17-19
------
Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart
was only evil continually.
And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth,
and He was grieved in His heart.
Genesis 6:5-6
------
The earth also was corrupt before God,
and the earth was filled with violence.
So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt;
for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
Genesis 6:11-12

3. God, as the creator, had the right to decide
what to do about makind's wicked behavior -
and did.

---
So the Lord said, "I will destroy man whom I have created
from the face of the earth, both man and beast,
creeping thing and birds of the air,
for I am sorry that I have made them.
Genesis 6:7

4. Unfair?  No.  Because He is merciful and really loves mankind,
God has His man - one man - but that was enough.

---
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.  . . . .
Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations.
Noah walked with God.
Genesis 6:8-9

5. God's standards have not changed.

---
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly, To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8
****

6. But mankind has not changed either.

---
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
because what may be known of God is manifest in them,
for God has shown it to them.
For since the creation of the world
His invisible attributes are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even His eternal power and Godhead,
so that they are without excuse,
because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God,
nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts,
and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became fools,
and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man -
and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness,
in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,
who exchanged the truth of God for the lie,
and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator,
who is blessed forever. Amen.
Romans 1:18-25
~~~~~
MY - this IS a problem, isn't it?  What is mankind to do?
Well, the answer is - NOTHING.
WHY?
Because there is NOTHING mankind CAN do.
~~~~~

7. But God loves mankind, remember?
And He has provided a way for mankind to return to Him - His son Jesus.
He's the ONLY way.
Not Buddah, not Krishna, not Mohammed, not ANYONE - except Jesus.
Only Jesus.
---

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6
------
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.
He who believes in Him is not condemned;
but he who does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:16-18
------
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed,
being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
even the righteousness of God,
through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe.
For there is no difference;
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
being justified freely by His grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
whom God set forth as a propitiation (appeasing sacrifice) by His blood,
through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness,
because in His forbearance
God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,
to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness,
that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Romans 3:21-26
